On Tap has three locations across the Birmingham area, but today we’re writing about the charming and attractive location in Fultondale, a suburb of North Birmingham, and in particular its popular ‘First Friday’s’ arts events. What are First Friday’s All About?
Fultondale On Tap Sports Café holds these events every first Friday of the month, with the theme being a different arts-related one each time. The September 6th event is right around the corner, so you need to get going. There will also be vendors selling their wares – everything from food to other products – plus the usual sports chatter and local friendly faces, and you may find this is the place to be for great company at other times, too.
What’s really impressive – and it makes the Fultondale location one of the best in the Birmingham area – is the sheer scale of the place, as the On Tap Sports Café is a genuine American Craft Beer House, with the right atmosphere and great clientele. With a 72 craft beer wall as the centrepiece, and a large and comfortable patio on which the event takes place, you will certainly enjoy your First Friday’s experience, and want to come back for more.
Easy to Find
The First Friday’s event on the 6th of September and begins at 4pm and ends at 8pm, so you can enjoy an early evening out with a difference. You’ll find the beer to be more than satisfactory, and the 35 large HDTV’s around the patio perfect for catching up with the latest games.
Bear in mind that First Friday’s are ticketed events, but with prices from $10 you can’t go wrong, and they are always popular so you should get in early to guarantee a spot. You will also find the Fultondale On Tap Sports Café to be easy to get to; just take the Walker Chapel exit off I-65 and right onto Main Street, where you will find the venue at number 1600.
